[edit] Romance, Sex, and Cybering
Sex and romance are primary human motivations, they can be powerful motivations in stories and be the basis or the backdrop to some very powerful scenes. It is however important to remember that we are a multicultural community with players of all ages and sexes. If you want to use themes of romance or sex in developing your character here are some things to keep in mind:
1. Narfell is not a 'social' server - if all you are doing is logging on to cyber you're on the wrong server, load up gamespy and choose another one.
2. Non-consensual contact is a bannable offense, make sure to talk with anyone involved beforehand that they are OOC comfortable with what you plan to do.
3. If anyone tries to force you into a sexual situation you're uncomfortable with take Screen shots and contact the DMs - we treat these charges with the utmost seriousness.
4. Don't engage in mature scenes in front of players who are not willing to witness them, there is no need to offend people. Find somewhere private and stop if someone who is not prepared stumbles into anything.
5. It is perfectly acceptable to 'fade to black'
As a final note: moderation in all things is key.
[edit] Unwanted Sexual Content Policy
Narfell has a VERY clear policy on the issue of unwanted sexual content.
No player may RP any sexual assault, rape, or other unwanted sexual contact at any time. By doing so you will very likely face a swift, permanent ban from the server, forums, and IRC.
This issue is not open to debate and we, the DM team, do not care if you think this is unfair or unrealistic. Do not discuss it in the IRC channel or on the forums, as it is not acceptable.
It is an issue that is not open to any debate and will not be changed.
